VIRON E. MINCHEW
The Rev. Viron Earl Minchew, 88, formerly of Goldsboro, died Tuesday at Liberty Commons. He was born in Wayne County on Oct. 14, 1922, to the late Hilery Marshall and Sally Mae Whaley Minchew.
Surviving family members are daughters, Merlon Minchew Evans and Leisa Minchew Picciotti, both of Princeton; son, David Minchew of Buffalo Junction, Va.; sisters, Peggy Keech and Linda Sue Tolar, both of Kenly; brothers, Othal Minchew of Four Oaks and Hilery Van Minchew of Gainesville, Fla.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.
Visitation will be on Thursday at Minshew Funeral Home in Four Oaks, from 6 to 8 p.m.
