WARSAW -- James E. "John Ed" Byrd, 90, died Wednesday at home.
Funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Sampson County to the late Edward and Arbella LuJane Pope Byrd. He was married to the late Daisy Grace Smith Byrd.
He is survived by a son and four daughters.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.
