KENNETH PAUL COMTOIS

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Retired Air Force Technical Sgt. Kenneth Paul Comtois, 48, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, at his residence in Myrtle Beach.

Mr. Comtois was born July 28, 1962, in Lowell, Mass., son of Juliette Prud-homme Comtois of Myrtle Beach and the late Raymond Comtois.

Mr. Comtois proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force, and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War and Operation Iraq Freedom.

After his retirement, he worked security for Butterball Farms LLC in Garner.

Mr. Comtois loved spending time at the beach. He fulfilled his dream by moving to Myrtle Beach just months before his passing.

Mr. Comtois was an avid golfer, a sports fan and had attended several Jimmy Buffet concerts.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his son, Jonathan Comtois of North Carolina; his two stepsons, David Martel of Massachusetts and Eric Martel of South Carolina; his two sisters, Rachel Feeley of Vermont and Laurie Hopkins and her husband, Edric, of New Hampshire.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Arlington National Cemetery.
