MOUNT OLIVE -- Eloise Goodson Walker Hall, 62, died Friday morning, July 1, 2011, at her home at 103 Wil-Mar Drive in Mount Olive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Soucy officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 4, from 7 until 9 p.m., and at the Steve and Tammy DeLuca residence, 164 Hampton Hobbs Road, Faison, at other times.

"Weezie," as she was known to many, enjoyed a lifelong career in food service, beginning at age 14 with employment at Albert's Soda Grill in Mount Olive. In 1975, she became a waitress at Dub's Barbecue where she remained until 1998, after which she worked at Rones Chapel Convenient Mart which became Friendly Mart, and also in the deli-bakery at Mount Olive Piggly Wiggly.

Eloise was a member of Salem Advent Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Paul and Lina Belle Brock Goodson and two infant sisters. Survivors include her three children, Phillip Walker of Faison, Joey Walker of Clinton, and Tammy Walker DeLuca and husband, Steve, of Faison; a brother, Ralph Goodson and wife, Lola, of Suttontown; and four grandchildren, Paige Wetherington, Taylor Walker, Kayla Walker, and Joshua Waters.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be made to Home Health and Hospice Care (3-HC), 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. James Atkins and his staff at SMOC, and also to the 3-HC home care team for the excellent care they provided.
