LAGRANGE -- Jurden Wooten Jr., local artist, 80, died Monday at Kendred Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, N.C. 11 north in Kinston, N.C. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Kinston.
Viewing will be at Swinson Funeral Home in Kinston Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and at the Kingdom Hall from 11 a.m. to noon.
Jurden was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine; father, Jurden Wooten Sr.; mother, Lillie B.; brother, William; sister, Thelma; brother, George; son Edward Earl; daughter, Vernell Phillips; and son, Louis Perry.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Dillahunt; brother, Lindell; brother, Edward; brother, Murthis; son, Edward Lamaurice; stepdaughter, Peggy Dupree; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
