WINSTON L. BRANCH

MOUNT OLIVE -- Winston Lee Branch, 103 King Drive, Mount Olive, was born Feb. 4, 1946, in Duplin County to the late Gaston Branch II and Mary Davis Branch. He quietly transitioned from labor to reward Tuesday at home.
He is survived by Linda Branch of the home, a daughter, Sherry L Branch of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, Kyete Holmes of Warsaw, N.C.; Winston Branch Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., and Chelvis Melton of Mount Olive, N.C.; seven brothers, James Branch, Ralph Branch and Bernard Branch of Newport News, Va., Gaston Branch and Tony Branch of Albertson, N.C., and Terry Smith and Gary Smith of Mass; four sisters, Gracie Morgan of Atlanta, Ga., Vera Tynes of Orlando, Fla., Debora Branch of Newport News, Va., and Kim Williams of Hampton, Va.; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; plus a host of other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at Salem Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Pink Hill, N.C., Saturday at 3 p.m. After which, the E.M. Matthews angelic white fleet will escort Mr. Branch's physical temple, along with his adored family, to Branch Family Cemetery for interment rites.
The Branch family is receiving services of compassion and distinguished class from E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the earthen vessel of Mr. Branch is peacefully resting.
