Vernette Coritha Braswell, 83, of Dudley died Wednesday in Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church. Entombment will follow at the Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Farrior Lee Braswell, of the home; her loving son, Farrior Lee Braswell Jr., and wife, Ida, of New Haven, Conn.; grandchildren Robert Braswell of Brooklyn, N.Y., Anitra Hammett of San Diego, Calif., Lauren Angel of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Marva Sweeting of Key West, Fla., Lawrence Allen of Orlando, Fla.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
The McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro is serving the Braswell Family.
