MARYSVILLE, Calif. -- Mrs. Glennie Edwards Sims, 78, 5930 Albrecht Ave., Marysville, Calif., died Feb. 25, 2011, at her residence.
A celebration of her life and legacy will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 12 noon at Invitation A.M.E. Zion Church on Griffin Road in Snow Hill, N.C., with pastor Theadore Woodbridge officiating. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery.
A public viewing will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Invitation A.M.E. Zion Church.
Memories of her legacy are treasured by her son, Craig (Angela) Sims; three grandchildren, Ryan, Rochelle and Angelo of California; three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Gaynell Poteat of Goldsboro, N.C., Ruby Scott of Rochester, N.Y., and Jean Rogers of Williamston, N.C.; brothers, Leslie (Sarah) Edwards of New Jersey and Leon (Jean) Edwards of Maryland; a sister-in-law, Annie Mae Ingram of Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services have been entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C.
