Milford Lee Coley Sr., 86, 508 E. Walnut St., Apt. 111-B, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The triumphant homegoing service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 S. Slocumb St., with elder P. N. Torrence officiating. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.
He leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Ethel L. Coley of the home; his children, Geraldine Coley Pitt of Goldsboro, Shirley Coley of Goldsboro, retired Sergeant Maj. Johnnie Coley of Petersburg, Va., Milford Lee Coley Jr. of Goldsboro, LaVern Ward-Harvey of Dudley, Anthony Coley of Fremont, Michael Coley of Pikeville, Mildred Lisa Coley of Harrisburg, Pa., Ethel Andrea Coley of Goldsboro, Harvey Griffin of Goldsboro and Ernestine Griffin of Goldsboro; and his siblings, Thadis Coley Sr. and Vernell Brown, both of Goldsboro.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at 315 Hunters Creek Drive, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral cortege.
