ALMON PASCHAL ROBBINS

PRINCETON -- Almon Paschal Robbins, 79, Princeton, died Tuesday at Smithfield Manor.

Born in Johnston County Sept. 25, 1931, he was the son of the late Perry and Missouri Lee Robbins.

He is also preceded in death by a brother, P. R. Robbins, and three sisters, Frances Pearce, Honor Lee Johnson and Dinah Hare.

The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Casey Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Munday officiating. The committal service will be Friday, March 4, at 11 a.m. in Princeton Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Braswell Robbins; daughter, Dena Ferrell of Wilson; brother, Billy Robbins of Pikeville; three stepdaughters, Bonnie Moore of Four Oaks, Marsha McCauliff of Maryland and Cheryl Braswell of Graham; stepson, Craig Braswell of Princeton; four stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.

The family will receive friends immediately after the funeral service at Casey Funeral Home chapel.
