KENANSVILLE -- Melvin Andrew Dobson, 61, of 992 Bowden Road, died Wednesday at Carolina East Hospice Care Center.
A life celebration service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Big Zion AME Zion Church, with the Rev. James Brinson officiating. Burial will follow in Boney Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, two daughters survive.
Born in Duplin County, he is the son of Gertie Judge Dobson and the late Octavious Dobson.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
