Lynette J. Jackson, 71, passed away Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Lynette was born in Wayne County to Gennie B. Britt of Mount Olive and the late Hubert Jackson.

She worked for many years with Carolina Power and Light Co., and was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Carroll and the Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Lynette is also survived by her husband of 51 years, Curtis B. Jackson; her daughter, Beverly J. Warren and husband, Kent, of Goldsboro; her brothers, Delma Jackson and wife, Betty, of Goldsboro, Billy Jackson and wife, Linda, of Newton Grove and Gary Britt and wife, Nita, of Goldsboro; and her grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Emily Warren and Jackson Warren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Brian Jackson.

The family received friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
