LINDY BAIN WILSON

Sept. 9, 1948-Nov. 16, 2010

CHARLOTTE -- Lindy Bain Wilson, 62, Charlotte, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center after an illness.

She was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Great Falls, Mont. to Shirley "Pum" and the Late Clayton Bain.

She graduated from Charles M. Russell High School June 6, 1966, and later attended Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, N.C., for an accounting degree.

After continuing her accounting career for many years, she started her own company called Big Sky Accounting. She lived in Goldsboro, N.C., for 16 years, and the past 26 years in Charlotte, N.C.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, William Olin Wilson Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Brent Roberts of Charlotte; sisters Leigh Laurue of Great Falls, Mont., Martie Sorkness and her husband, Randy, of Billings, Mont., and Robin Viens and her husband, Dale, of Wrentham, Mass.; and nephews and nieces, Brooke, Erik, Mark, Sherri, Tristan, Mandy, Monica, Ryan and Tiffany. She is leaving behind her faithful companion, Kirby.

She was a wonderful cook. She could take a recipe and tweak it in such a way that made it her own, not to mention tastier, too. Purple was her favorite color. Her passion was taking care of her family and her home and doing for others.

She loved life and all that was in it. She touched many people's hearts, and was a very caring and giving person. Her heart and soul is with all of us now, and she will be remembered for eternity.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, N.C., 28210.

There will be a private service for family only at McEwen Funeral Service at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 2900 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Suite 300C, Los Angeles, Calif., 90064, or http://www.pancreatic.org.
