CARSON, Calif. -- Mrs. Eloise Lane Ellis Strickland, 76, Carson, Calif., formerly of Eureka and Raleigh, N.C., was born to the late Charlie and Clyde Spence Lane April 2, 1934.
She went to be with the Lord Sept. 23, 2010, at 9:15 a.m. at her home.
A brother, James Leslie Lane, preceded her in death.
A service of remembrance will be held Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Carolina Biblical Gardens in Garner, N.C., with the Rev. Stacccato Powell of Grace A.M.E. Zion Church in Raleigh, N.C., doing the words of comfort.
Mrs. Strickland leaves to cherish loving memories a host of cousins, including Judy and Crystal Hodges of Goldsboro, N.C.; other relatives; and friends.
Family and friends will meet at Hamilton Funeral Chapel at 10:30 a.m. in preparation to leave at 11 a.m. Sunday in procession to Carolina Biblical Gardens.
