BAXTER R. TAYLOR
July 11, 1948 - July 17, 2010
LA GRANGE -- Baxter Ray Taylor, 62, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday. Baxter was born July 11, 1948, in Wayne County to Sue Taylor of Goldsboro and the late Eddie Russell Taylor. Baxter enjoyed time spent with close family and NASCAR.
A memorial service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with pastor John Norman officiating.
In addition to his mother, Baxter is survived by a son, Baxter Ray Taylor Jr., and friend, Debbie Heath of Kinston; granddaughter, Ashlyn Pridgen and husband, Daniel of LaGrange; great-grandchild, Blayden Pridgen; special friend and companion, Paula McCoy of LaGrange; three brothers, Eddis Taylor of Goldsboro, Timmy Taylor of LaGrange and Roger Taylor of LaGrange; two sisters, Debbie Taylor Sauls of Eureka and Betty Taylor Anderson of LaGrange; and former wife, Belle Taylor of LaGrange.
In addition to his father, Baxter was preceded in death by a daughter, Susie Belle Taylor; and a sister, Rita Taylor Summerlin.
