LaGRANGE -- James Aaron Stroud Sr., 78, of LaGrange, died Friday.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Hester, the Rev. Terry Gainer and the Rev. Garfield Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
James was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Lenoir County to the late Donnie Grainger Stroud and Minnie Whaley Stroud.
James is survived by his wife, Louise Edwards Stroud; two children.
The family will receive friends today from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home.
