James Ray Elkins, 58, of Hwy. 111 S., Seven Springs, died Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A private service will be held.
Mr. Elkins was born in Norman, Okla., to the late Robert and Mary Rogers Elkins.
He is survived by his wife, Janet King Elkins; four sons; and three daughters.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
