GOLDSBORO -- Edna S. Williams, 69, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2010, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

Edna was born in Wayne County July 24, 1940, to the late Robert Nelson Sauls and Pearl Beatrice Morris Sauls.

Edna formerly owned and operated Quality Fire Extinguisher in Goldsboro, and had also worked as an independent consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She was an active member of Goldsboro Host Lions Club, where she had served as president.

Edna was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goldsboro, where she directed the Singles Ministry and served as president of Women's Ministries for many years.

She recently became involved with the WOOFF Organization in Goldsboro (Welfare of Our Furry Friends).

A service to remember Edna will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goldsboro, with pastor Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Jones and husband, Sidney, of Aulander, Crystal Grant and husband, Tim, of Dudley and Karla Sawyer and husband, Mike, of Washington, N.C.; her eight grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Katherine Grant, Madison Grant, Jacob Sawyer, Kaylin Sawyer, Caleb Sawyer, Zack Sawyer and Hannah Sawyer; her great-granddaughter, Kaylee Jones; and many other close family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Jones.

The family will receive friends following the service at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and other times at her daughter's home, 1041 Genoa Road, Dudley, N.C.
