John Charles Scott, 74, previously of Robeson County, died Tuesday at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Floyd Memorial chapel in Lumberton, with the Rev. Mike Pittman officiating.
He was born April 22, 1936, the son of the late Rembert and Hannah Herring Scott, and was married to Margie D. Scott.
Scott is survived by his wife, Margie D. Scott; three sons; and a daughter.
Visitation will follow the service.
