ESTALEE S. ALLNUTT

Estalee Sutherland Allnutt, 81, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Billy Olsen officiating. Interment will be held at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park in Sarasota, Fla.

Estalee was born in Eminence, Ky., Jan. 22, 1929, to the late Ora Sutherland and Eunice Bush Sutherland. She was married to the late Claude "Trigger" Allnutt, whom she considered the love of her life.

Upon moving to North Carolina, Estalee became a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and Friendship Sunday school class.

She completed her GED at Wayne Community College in 2002.

As Mom, Nana and Aunt T, Estalee was known for her joy of life, her laugh and her good meals and desserts, and was loved by her children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Estalee is survived by her daughter, Lisa Pettus and husband, George, of Goldsboro; her son, Greg Allnutt and wife, Debi, of Sarasota, Fla.; and her grandchildren, Daniel and Hannah Pettus and Tracy and Mylissa Allnutt.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nina V. Sutherland, Isabell Miller, Marcie McFarland, Martha Davis, Ruth McDaniel, Mildred Davis, Geneva Stivers and Eva Morrow; and a brother, John Sutherland.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall, and at other times at the home of George and Lisa Pettus at 107 Camellia Drive in Goldsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 867 N.C. 581 South, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
