TIMOTHY M. MCCOY

Feb. 23, 1960-May 9, 2010

In profound sorrow, the E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. family joins with the McCoy family to announce the earthly demise of Timothy M. McCoy.

Timothy Maurice McCoy, 50, 305 S. John St., was born Feb. 23, 1960, to Wilton Sr. and Sarah McCoy in Moore County. He peacefully entered into eternal rest Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Celebration of life services will be held Saturday at noon at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home chapel, 401 N. William St. in Goldsboro, with the Rev. V. J. Hairston officiating. Following the services at the funeral establishment, Mr. McCoy, along with his precious family, will be escorted to Old Mill Cemetery for committal rites.

Mr. McCoy was a 1978 graduate of Goldsboro High School.

He was presently employed with Cooper Interconnect of LaGrange.

Be It known, it was a very solemn Mother's Day for Timothy's mother and others, having to lose a precious jewel from their family on what should have been a special day, but just knowing that God the heavenly father said in His holy word that He would never leave nor would He forsake his own, will give comfort and sustain the McCoy family even after they leave Timothy's physical temple in his earthly consign at Old Mill Cemetery.

He leaves cherished memories in the hearts of many such as his mother, Sarah McCoy of Dudley; three sisters, Shirley McCoy of Goldsboro, Geralean McCoy of Dudley and Anne Austin of Fayetteville; five brothers, Ronald McCoy, Donald McCoy of Goldsboro, Larry McCoy of Dudley, Bruce McCoy of Atlanta, Ga., and Pinkney (Shirley) Kearns of Marston; two special nephews, Buetonian McCoy of East Orange, N.J., and Demitri Winn of Goldsboro; a niece, Crystal McFadden of Lancaster, S.C.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilton A. McCoy Sr., and brother, Wilton K. McCoy Jr.

Mr. McCoy's earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc., where the McCoy family is receiving true expressions of love, compassion and appreciation, www.emmatthewsfuneralhome.com, 735-2775.
