Timothy "Timmy" Korenyik, 49, passed away Wednesday at home.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding. A rosary service will be held tonight at 6, followed by a time of visitation until 8.
Timmy was born in Suffern, N.Y., May 28, 1960, to Virginia Filer Korenyik of Indian Lake, N.Y., and the late Tibor Korenyik.
He served his country in the United States Air Force for more than 18 years, retiring as a master sergeant. Timmy was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his mother, Timmy is survived by his daughter, Sarah Korenyik of Goldsboro; his brother, Tom Korenyik of Indian Lake, N.Y.; his sister, Cathy Korenyik; and his nieces, Jeanie and Kathryn.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Korenyik.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
