ROBERT F. IVEY

April 23, 1959-April 28, 2010

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Son of Christine Ivey Turner and the late Richard Max Ivey, Robert F. Ivey was born April 23, 1959, and died April 28, 2010.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, then interment in Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.

Robert's childhood was spent in Goldsboro and later in Richmond, Va.

After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for six years.

At the end of his enlistment, he lived in the Richmond area until the last two years, when he moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C., where he lived the remainder of his life.

Robert's survivors include his mother, Christine Turner and her husband, Kellam; his sister, Marcia Ivey Snead and her husband, Brian; his brother, Richard "Rick" Ivey and his wife, Diane; his nephews, Steve and Chris Ramsey and Dan and Mike Ivey; his nieces, Gabby and Christy Ivey and Alexis Robinson and her parents, Kathy and Mike; his wife, Linda Ivey; a friend, Linda Harris; an uncle, Frank Smith; and two aunts, Carrie Joyner and Revalene Bartlett.
