IDA FRANCES PARKER

Ida Frances Britt Parker, 78, passed away on Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Falling Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Varner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Parker was born in Wayne County to the late Leamon Britt and Gertrude Westbrook Britt. She was a retired farmer and homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She will be remembered as a fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Homemaker's Sunday School Class at Falling Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband of 57 years, Worth W. Parker; her daughters, Barbara Williams and husband, Mike, of Princeton and Judy Edwards and husband, Delbert, of Goldsboro; her sons, Richard Parker and wife, Susan, of Goldsboro and Thomas Parker and wife, Louise, of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Ashley Parker and Jessica Williams; her sister, Annie Jean Cotton of Grantham; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lethel Britt.

The family will receive friends today from 4 until 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home.
