Alexander Reese Jr., 82, 404 E. New Hope Road, departed this life on Thursday.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 200 N. James St., Goldsboro. The body may be viewed from 2 until 4 p.m., at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 223 S. James St. The family will receive friends today from 6 until 7:30 p.m., at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 901 Harris St., Goldsboro.
He was retired from Cherry Hospital as a staff psychologist.
He is survived by his wife, the Rev. Mary E. Reese of the home; two daughters, Jerri Thomas of Goldsboro, and Kaaryn Taylor of Lithonia, Ga.; four sons, Alexander Reese III of Washington, D.C., David Rogers Jr. of Goldsboro, Christopher Rogers of Newport News, Va., and Jonathan Rogers of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lula Jackson of Washington, D.C.; a dedicated niece and nephew, Joann Jackson-Piper and David Nathaniel Jackson, a host of other family and friends.
