Johana Carter, 78, died Wednesday evening at home.
A private entombment will be held at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Mrs. Carter was born in Massachusetts Aug. 4, 1931, to the late Joseph Greenwood and K. Nellie Ramshead Greenwood. She was the widow of the late Johnnie C. Carter.
She is survived by two children.
The family will receive friends today from noon to 8 p.m. at the home, 304 Nelson Drive in Goldsboro.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
