Mary Churka, 92, passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2009, in her home in Colfax, Calif..
Mary was born Oct. 7, 1917, in Chicago, Ill. She is survived by her sister, Ann; and brother, Joseph; and children, Mary Ann, Edward, Thomas and Margaret. She had seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a Memorial Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fremont on Jan. 28, 2010, at 10 a.m.
Another celebration will be held in her hometown, Colfax, on March 6, 2010, at a time to be announced.
Mary is finally at peace in heaven.
She was greatly loved by all and we will miss her very much.
