Mr. James Edward Best, 59, of 2036 Glenwick Drive, Fayetteville, died Saturday at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, Fayetteville.

Mr. Best served in the United States Military for a period of 21 years and he retired honorably.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 1p.m. from the McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 South George St. The Rev. Ezekiel Sutton will be officiating. Burial will be held at Rest Well Cemetery, Bolton. A viewing will be conducted Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 South George St. A wake will be held on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. with the family present to receive friends and other relatives.

At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at the residence, 829 Argo St., Goldsboro.

Mr. Best leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Ruby B. Daniels; two brothers, Danny R. Daniels and Tom J. Daniels both of Goldsboro; three sisters, Christine D. Richardson, Denise L. Faison and Edlena J. Faison all of Goldsboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.
