Willie Mae Kornegay, 82, formerly of 311 Rollingwood Drive, Dudley, passed away Dec. 20, in Riverdale, Ga.
A home-going celebration will be held Monday, at 11 a.m. at Original Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, with Apostle Lawrence Bogier officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park North.
Born in Metarie, La., she was the daughter of the late Willie and Addie (Champagne) Orlidge.
Mrs. Kornegay is survived by her children, Lillie Golden (Jerome) of Metro Atlanta, James Kornegay Jr. (Miriam) of Columbia, S.C., Robert Kornegay of Metro Atlanta, Clark Kornegay (Debra) of Metro Atlanta, Lindy Branch of Florien, La., Lamont Kornegay of Goldsboro, Brenda Simmons (Fess) of Metro Atlanta and Jerry Kornegay of Goldsboro; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Kornegay Sr.
Viewing will be at Rhodes Funeral Home today from 4 until 6 p.m.
