LAGRANGE -- Charles Harvey Swinson, 73, passed away Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Todd Wiggins and the Rev. Bobby Heath officiating.

Charles Harvey was the son of the late Charles Ormond and Neva Hardy Swinson of Jason.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Adamsville Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

Charles Harvey served his country in the United States Army.

Charles Harvey is survived by his wife, Lorraine Smith Swinson of the home; his daughters, Lori Chase and husband, Ray, of Snow Hill, Kim Carlyle and husband, Darryl, and Ginger Swinson all of LaGrange; his brother Lee Hardy Swinson and wife, Margie, of Jason; and three grandchildren, Summer Chase, Colby Chase and Jentry Carlyle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Swinson Langston.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Darryl and Kim Carlyle, 2548 N. Beston Road in LaGrange.
