LaGRANGE -- Mrs. Betty Cassell Mack, 73, of 204 Darrel Road, died Saturday at Quinn Hospice Center in Kenansville.
A memorial service will be held today at 5 p.m. at the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
Betty was born in Pittsylvania County, Va., on May 4, 1936, to the late Ellis Cassell and Josie Light Cassell. She was a retired manager of Jim's Pool and Spa Shop.
Betty is survived by her husband, James Reginald Mack; her son, Michael Beggarly and wife, Gail, of St. Cloud, Fla.; her daughters, Paula Beggarly Miller of Danville, Va., and Jennifer Beggarly Sutherland and husband, Avis, of Providence; her stepson, Chip Mack and wife, Denise, of Raleigh; her stepdaughters, Elizabeth Brown and Pattie Hockings, both of Virginia, and Raye Absul and husband, Murart, of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Jane Cassel Snowdey of Danville, Va.; her brothers, David Cassell of Blairs, Va., Jim Cassell of Richmond, Va., and Doug Cassell of Stuart, Va.; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
