LAGRANGE -- Robert Allen "Bob" Ream, 73, passed away Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Coker Memorial Church and his service of remembrance will follow at the church at 2 p.m. The service will conclude by the graveside at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.

Bob was born in Reading, Pa., May 30, 1936, to the late Otis A. Davis and Minnie A. Ream.

He served his country in the United States Air Force for more than 24 years and retired as a master sergeant.

After his military career, Bob worked with the Cashwell Center in Kinston before retiring again.

He was a member of Coker Memorial Church and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy S. Ream; his daughter, Deborah Ream Harrison and husband, Mark, of Savannah, Ga.; his sons, Bryan Ream of LaGrange and Gary Ream and wife, Melissa, of El Paso, Texas, and Michael Ream and wife, Anna, of LaGrange; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher A. Ream.

At other times the family will be at the home, 2294 North Beston Road in LaGrange.
