PIKEVILLE -- The Rev. Johnnie Lee Artis, 74, 170 Booker St., died Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at L. N. Forbes Original Freewill Baptist Tabernacle in Wilson, with bishop L. N. Forbes officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Jacquelyn Alexander Artis; two children; and five stepchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:30 to 8 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
