SNOW HILL -- James Frederick "Fred" Roberts, 80, of Snow Hill, died Friday.
Fred was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Johnston County to the late John and Agnes Driver Roberts.
A service of remembrance will be held today at 11 a.m. from Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hill and the Rev. Leon Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Fred is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lindley Barrow Roberts; sister, Frances Herring, and husband, Gene of Charlotte; brother, Robert Roberts and wife, Virginia, of Mount Olive.
