MURRAY EDWARD BRONSTEIN

Murray Bronstein went to be with his Lord and reunite with his beloved Angel on Thursday.
Services will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel today at 3 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rabbi Raachel Jurovics officiating. Entombment will follow.
Murray was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was born in Kinston to David L. and Pearl R. Bronstein. He graduated from Kinston High School and attended North Carolina State University. Murray was a World War II Veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He met the absolute love of his life, Evelyn Carol Hoffman, also from Kinston and they married July 28, 1952. They moved to Goldsboro, where they became owners of Youth Togs Inc., a children's specialty clothing shop. After retiring from the retail business, Murray started Business Brokers One, a commercial real estate brokerage firm. He spent his retirement years with his lovely wife and together they shared hobbies and traveled frequently to visit with family and friends. Murray was an avid woodcarver and enjoyed being a member of the Neuse Carving Club. He made many special friends there and considered them his "carving family." We would like to give a special thank you to Manfred Schmidt, dear friend and neighbor who has given his time and assistance whenever called upon over the past year.
Murray is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn H. Bronstein. He will leave to cherish his memory, a son, David Murray Bronstein, his wife, Alicia, and a grandson, Jordan David Bronstein of Midlothian, Va.; his daughter, Davida Bronstein Hayes and her husband, James Michael Hayes, of Apex; his sister, Bernice B. Tye and her family of Lowell, Mass.; his brother, Aubrey Bronstein of Kinston; his sisters-in-law, Virginia H. Perry and Remona H. Hoffman, both of Kinston; Doris F. Hoffman of Mount Holly and Lida H. Webb and her husband, Glen of Gatesville; many nieces and nephews as well as his beloved furry companion, "Muffin." His family would like to give a special thank you to an extended member of the family, Ms. Emma Jean Kinsey, whose presence and assistance has proven to be invaluable these past few years. "We could not have done this without you, Emmer."
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wayne County SPCA.
Arrangements are being handled by Garner Funeral Home in Kinston.
