MOUNT OLIVE -- Nina Goodson, 75, Garner's Chapel community, died Sunday morning.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Turner and the Rev. Carlisle Franks officiating. Burial will be in the Goodson Family Cemetery.
Ms. Goodson was a lifelong member of Garner's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
She was retired from Mt. Olive Pickle Co. where she was accounts payable administrator.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Sasser of Mount Olive; a grandson, Lee Sasser of Mount Olive; a granddaughter, Tiffany Whaley of East Carolina University; two sisters, Frances Ward Black Holland of Kannapolis and Avis Kay Goodson Ridenhour and husband, Norman, of Greensboro; two nieces, Chelsie Ridenhour of Greensboro and Janet Ward Black and husband, Geraurd Davidson, of Greensboro; and a special friend, Flora Lee Graham of Mount Olive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Goodson and Bessie Mae Grady Ward Goodson, and a sister, Dorothy Goodson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and at the home of her son at other times.
