MOUNT OLIVE -- Ruby Arnette Myers, 83, 914 N.C. 403 W., died Monday at Wayne Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tyndall Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Calypso Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home during the hour before the service, and at other times friends and family are welcome to call at the residence.
Born in Chatham County, she was a homemaker and in earlier years, she had been employed at Chas. F. Cates & Son Pickle Co. in Faison. She was a longtime member of Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Grace Edwards and husband, W.D., of Sanford, Virginia Bryant of Sanford and Ruth Farrell of Pittsboro; a brother, Thomas Allen Arnette of Sanford; a nephew, David Warren Farrell; and two sisters-in-law, Carol Myers Brogden of Mount Olive and Hilda Myers Langley of Wilmington, along with their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward "Ed" Myers in September 2008; her parents, John David Arnette and Hettie Foushee Arnette; and two brothers, John David Arnette Jr. and Billy Arnette.
