LOUISE O. DAVIS

March 18, 1935-June 22, 2009

MOUNT OLIVE -- Louise Overton Cashwell Davis, 84, Northpointe Drive, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Lewis officiating, with visitation following. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Calypso Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Charles Padgett of Warsaw; two sons, Wayne Cashwell of Goldsboro and Larry Cashwell of Calypso; along with a special friend, Joyce Weaver; a sister, Dorothy Odom of Mississippi; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Elaine Overton of Jacksonville, Bobby and Eunice Overton of Grantham and Jimmy Wayne and Faye Overton of Dudley; another sister-in-law, Martha Overton of Mount Olive; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of First Original Free Will Baptist Church of Warsaw and was a retired certified nursing assistant having been employed with Duplin General Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, June Cashwell and Mallard Davis; two sons, Glenn Cashwell and Rudy Cashwell; her parents, Roy and Nora Kelly Overton; two brothers, Junius Overton and Billy Earl Overton; and two sisters, Elizabeth Rivenbark and Brookie Robertson.

Friends and family will be received at the home of Mary Ann and Charles Padgett, 435 Lanefield Road, Warsaw, at times when not at the funeral home.
