Joseph Thomas Davis, 73, passed away on Thursday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery, Farmville.
Joseph was born in Greene County on Sept. 29, 1935 to the late Early Davis and Sudie Hinson Davis. He retired from construction work.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Patty Davis, Debra Jean Davis and Kathy Jean Davis; his sons, Joseph Thomas Davis Jr., Ronald Ray Davis, Donald Kup Davis, Jeffrey Allan Davis, and Leo Kenneth Davis; his sisters, Maebelle Fissel and Peggy Hilton; and his former wife and caregiver, Laurie Davis.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 until 3 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
