LESTER G. BAILEY

Lester Gray Bailey, 63, passed away on Friday at his daughter- and son-in-law's home in Angier surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
Lester was born in Wayne County on May 30, 1945 to Mildred Irene Singleton Bailey and the late Nathan Earl Bailey. Lester was a retired research and development technician with E.I. DuPont. He had served his country in the United States Navy.
In addition to his mother, Lester is survived by his daughter, Dina Bailey Anderson and husband, Mike, of Angier; his brothers, Danny Lee Bailey of Goldsboro and Milton Earl Bailey of Garner; two step grandsons, Michael J. Anderson and Aaron E. Pittman; and one step great-grandson, Caden J. Pittman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Bailey's name to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's St., Suite 400, Raleigh, N.C., or to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
The family will receive friends Monday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mrs. Harold Singleton, 1987 Hwy. 111 S., Goldsboro.
