Norwood Lee Cox Sr., 119 Sandy Drive, died April 30 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Leventon Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, Highway 58 North in Stantonsburg, with Elder George E. Wiggins officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Martin Luther Expressway, Goldsboro.
He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Lillie M. Cox; seven children, Lee and Tommy of New York, Janet of Dallas, Texas, Norwood Jr. of Goldsboro, Kelvin and Renee of the home and David of Dudley; sisters, Clara of Black Creek and Elizabeth and Eartharene of Goldsboro; brothers, Rommie of New Jersey and Marshall of Black Creek; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m. The family will line up one hour prior to the funeral service at the home.
