FRANKLIN WHITFIELD

Franklin Whitfield, 75, died Saturday at Quinn Hospice Center.
Memorial services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. John Barnette officiating.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Frank and Minnie Hill Whitfield. He was retired from Boling Chair Co.
Mr. Whitfield is survived by his brother, Rex Whitfield of Seven Springs; two sisters, Helen Britt and Janice Lane, both of Mount Olive; two sisters-in-law, Muriel Whitfield and Sally Barnette, both of Mount Olive; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family members will greet friends Monday night immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his sister, Janice Lane, 137 Everette Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.
