Matthew Lee Best Jr., 55, of Randall Lane died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Old Mill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mr. Best was born in Wayne County to the late Matthew Best Sr. and Laura Rich Best. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and attended Holy Trinity Church in Goldsboro.
Mr. Best leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ethel Best.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Best was preceded in death by a son.
