Man charged with meth possession after traffic stop

A man is facing felony charges after being pulled over by the Wayne County Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team on Durham Lake Road Thursday, according to a press release.

Daniel Tyler Mills, 32, of Dudley, is charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a motor vehicle, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The release said member of the ACE Team were patrolling Dudley because of drug complaints and stopped Mills as a result.

The release does not specify why Mills was stopped.

According to the release, the ACE Team then received consent to search the vehicle and found a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The release said Mills then gave consent for his residence to be searched, and deputies found a small amount of marijuana.

Mills was given a $10,000 secured bond on the charges.
