Trio powers North Duplin offense

CALYPSO -- Three North Duplin players combined for six hits in an eight 8-0, non-conference conquest of Richlands on Friday evening.
Mikayla Koch, Rylee Pate and Haley Brogden pounded out two hits apiece -- including a pair of doubles. Taylor Jones doubled in three at-bats.
Brogden and Pate combined for a three-hitter inside the pitcher's circle. The duo combined for 13 strikeouts as the Rebels (2-0 overall) shut out their second opponent this season.
North Duplin entertains Lejeune on Monday.
