Aycock's Jones earns medalist honors at LTGC

Bryce Jones earned medalist honors with a 3-over-par 75 and helped Charles B. Aycock tie D.H. Conley in team competition during a season-opening Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet at Lane Tree Golf Club.
Jake Flowers and Ty Daniels each carded a round of 82, followed by Blake Bartlett with an 83. The foursome combined for the Golden Falcons' team total of 322, the same as the Vikings.
Nick Wise and Mitchell Langston also participated for CBA.
Drew Grady emerged as EW's low scorer with an 89. He was followed by Justin Whaley (91), Noah Forrester (94) and Zack Lancaster (97). Nathan Coker and Austin Uzzell also battled the challenging, wide-open course.
Clay Grady (99) and Justin Parks (126) represented Southern Wayne.
