JV sports
* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 4, Eastern Wayne 0 -- Charles B. Aycock strung together eight hits in a 4-0 triumph over Eastern Wayne on Tuesday. Chandler Matthews, Jake Flowers, Cameron Kornegay and Chandler Gentry all drove in one run for the Golden Falcons. Jacob Sandford pitched a complete-game shutout. C.B. Aycock concluded the year 16-6 overall and 8-4 against Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference opposition.
Middle schools
* Girls' soccer: Spring Creek 4, Eastern Wayne 0 -- Bianca Cuevas punched in a pair of goals for the Gators. Madison Sullivan provided one goal and one assist. Mackenzie Ingram supplied one goal, while Maria Lopez dished out an assist. Goalie Allison Patton recorded her seventh shutout of the season. Spring Creek (9-2-0 overall) plays host to Greenwood today.
