Goldsboro diamond 9 fall to North Lenoir

Goldsboro dropped a 12-0, six-inning mercy-rule loss to North Lenoir in an Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference game Tuesday.
The Cougars' Damon Pate had two hits, while teammate Jared Howard had the other hit.
Zach Falconer endured the loss on the mound for Goldsboro. He pitched all six innings and allowed six earned runs striking out two batters.
Goldsboro (2-15 overall, 0-8 ECC) travels to Greene Central for a season-ending doubleheader today.
