North Lenoir boots Eastern Wayne, 4-3

LaGRANGE -- North Lenoir overcame an early two-goal deficit and rallied to beat Eastern Wayne 4-3 in the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams Wednesday evening.
Justin Shimer scored three goals in the second half for the Hawks. Oscar Avila added one goal and an assist in the win.
Caleb Baird finished with five saves in the victory.
North Lenoir (7-10-2 overall, 5-6-1 ECC) plays host to Charles B. Aycock on Saturday in the ECC tournament. Kickoff is 1 p.m. at Bullock Field.
