LILLIE RUTH JENKINS CLEMONS

Lillie Ruth Jenkins Clemons, 80, died Thursday evening at her home.
Born in Lenoir County she was the daughter of the late Jobe T. and Lillie B. Thigpen and was the wife of Luther Clemons.
Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Howard Seymour officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Lillie was a member of the Mar Mac Friends Church.
In addition to her husband Lillie is survived by a son, Nelson Jenkins and his wife, Shelia, of Snow Hill; three daughters, Lyvonne Davis and husband, Mickey, of Goldsboro, Wanda Powell and husband, Brent, of Goldsboro, and Renee Coty of Goldsboro; two step-daughters, Angie Howell and husband, J.D., of Smithfield and Cherish Lilly and husband, Sammie, of Smithfield; two brothers, Bernie Thigpen and wife, May, of Kinston and Butch Thigpen and wife, Lisa, of Kinston; a sister, Doris Hoffman of Snow Hill; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
